Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq House Rules

Identification

Please note, anyone in the venue after 8pm will need a valid form of ID. We have security checking these upon entry.

We accept, valid International & New Zealand passports, current New Zealand driver licence, Hospitality NZ 18+ Card - (New 18+ Cards are no longer available but existing 18+ Cards continue to be valid ID for 10 years from the date of issue) and Kiwi Access Cards - (This new Hospitality NZ card replaces the 18+ Card and is available for both NZ nationals and foreign visitors).

Please note, if you wish to purchase alcohol or be in a licensed area of our venues you will need to have a valid form of ID. You will also need a valid ID to enter or be in our venues after 8pm. If you are acting as a responsible adult you will also need to have your ID on you. If you are over 18 bring your ID along to make sure you aren’t disappointed.

Minors

Please note that Archie Brothers Newmarket does not allow minors and under 18's in venue after 9pm Sunday - Thursday and 8pm Friday - Saturday.

While unaccompanied minors and under 18’s are permitted at Archie Brothers Newmarket until the listed times, we request that pre-teens and younger children are accompanied by a responsible adult.

Responsible Adult

A responsible adult is defined as a person who is over the age of 18 years and is:

  • a parent, step-parent or guardian of the minor
  • the minor’s spouse or de facto partner
  • an adult who has 'parental rights, duties and responsibilities' in relation to the minor
  • A person standing in as the parent could include a relative such as a grandparent, aunt/uncle, or a person in charge of an organised sporting or school group.

They must also have a valid ID on their person for the duration of the visit.

General Entertainment

  • Discrimination or violence of any kind will not be tolerated when in our venue.
  • Inappropriate behaviour, disorderly conduct, aggression, intoxication, or other disruptive behaviour, may result in refusal of service, refusal of entry or being ejected from the venue.
  • When in the venue, all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Children under the age of 13 are only allowed in the venue, with a responsible adult. Curfews apply and liquor laws for minors come into play.
  • Children can complete all activities in our venues at the discretion of their responsible Parent or Guardian. However, a parent or guardian could be required to accompany, supervise or assist with play.
  • No running, climbing, or tom foolery in the venue. We want all of our guests to have fun and enjoy the space. Be respectful and treat others the way you would like to be treated.
  • Guests need to comply with relevant state laws & guidelines for the consumption of alcoholic beverages.
  • No external food or drink is allowed in the venue, excluding the service of a birthday cake subject to individual venue policy. Check the FAQs at the bottom of your location page.
  • Guests need to follow the direction of the staff in the venue. Failure to do so may result in you being asked to leave.
  • If you are running late to a booking, we cannot guarantee you will be able to finish your booked activity and may have it finished early, or rescheduled.
  • Our venues look great and we often want to share it on our socials. Any photographs, videos, recordings or other media taken in the venue must be for personal use only. If you want to use or produce for commercial purposes it must be with prior written permission from the Funlab team.

Activity Rules

Arcade

  • Arcade games are suitable for all people, however parents may need to assist their little ones and should look at individual game recommended playing age. A reminder all minors need to be under adult supervision at all times.
  • Rechargeable Cards - may not be redeemed for cash. Any resale or transfer of the card will render it void. All sales are final and any unused portion is not refundable. Funlab is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged cards. Is only redeemable for arcade play and cannot be used for alternate purchases such as food, beverage or merchandise. Bonus loads are not transferable or able to be split to multiple cards. Are valid for 12 months from last purchase.
  • Timeplay Cards - are limited to one card per person. All games should be played within the allotted time. Some arcades are not playable under timeplay.
  • All games should be played in the intended manner and game instructions followed.
  • Be aware, some games and attractions have additional specific requirements including Laser Tag, XD Thrill Ride, Dodgem Cars and Virtual Reality.
  • Our Venues are Insta worthy however any photos, videos or recordings taken in the venue should only be for personal use. Any commercial shoots need to be arranged with management.
  • We accept no responsibility for any personal property that is brought to a Strike venue
  • For the safety of all guests, any games machine misuse or deliberately not following staff directions on attractions may result in you being asked to leave.

Bowling

  • Do not step over or proceed past the foul line at any time. (That’s the massive black line at the start of the lane if you didn’t know)
  • Do not bowl more than one ball down the lane at any time. Only one guest bowling at a time.
  •  We insist and offer our Strike bowling shoes as part of the experience. To ensure you look good on the lanes and to assist with your bowling action. (Stilettos look hot but not practical). If you cannot wear our bowling shoes speak to our Strikers for more information.
  • Strike bowling shoes must not be worn outside. (This is technically stealing)
  • Do not place your hands inside the ball return (unless you have fully insured them beforehand)
  • We allow 6 people per lane. For groups more than 6 we can split across 2 adjacent lanes.
  • Any lane faults must be reported to reception. (Just because your mother says you're technical doesn’t mean it’s true)
  • While a fault is being attended to, no balls are to be sent down the lane Management reserves the right to refuse lanes to patrons.
  • For the safety of all guests, any lane misuse will result in games being immediately suspended.

Laser Tag

  • We recommend all personal belongings such as keys, wallets, phones etc are left outside of the arena. We suggest using one of the lockers.
  • No Running.
  • No Climbing on or touching props.
  • Stay within the boundaries of the arena.
  • The phaser should not be used to hit, push or harm another guest or props.
  • Misuse may result in the deactivation of your laser vest and being removed from the game.
  • No Food or drink can be taken in the arena or armoury.

Fair Play Policy

A fair play policy applies to any promotion where an unlimited play component is offered. It makes sure all patrons get a fair attempt at the various activities and some people may be asked to move on to play another activity to ensure fairness. Further details about each offer can be found on promotional material in venue and from venue staff. Available for walk-in customers only.

The manager on duty reserves the right to allocate patrons to activities. All activities are not necessarily included in every promotion - please clarify with staff at time of purchase. Unlimited Play promotions are only valid on the day of purchase. All offers are subject to varying finish times - please clarify with staff at time of purchase

  • Laser Tag: 1 game guaranteed, then subject to availability
  • Pool: subject to availability
